The priority of the Construction Professionals Skillnet is to provide the most professional service possible to our customers. This publicly available privacy statement is the location in which we display our privacy policy. At the bottom it will be dated with the date it was last updated for transparency.

In addition, the Construction Professionals Skillnet receives funding from Skillnet Ireland to facilitate relevant training for the construction sector.
Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. The training programmes promoted on this website and offered by Construction Professionals Skillnet are fully or partially funded by Skillnet Ireland.
Skillnet Ireland is mandated by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to monitor and evaluate training programmes provided by our Networks and to ensure that funds are being used appropriately.
Participants in all programmes provided by the Construction Professionals Skillnet are asked to complete the Trainee Profile Form where you are asked to share certain personal details about your background. You are asked to complete the “Reaction to Learning Form” when you have completed your training with us.
You may wish to review this Privacy Statement before completing these forms so that you are aware of how we comply with Data Protection Legislation in relation to your personal data.

About this Privacy Statement
This Privacy Statement relates to our privacy practices and policies in place for the data we collect on our website and in the Trainee Profile Form and Reaction to Learning Form. It sets out what personal data we collect and process about you in connection with the services and functions of the Construction Professionals Skillnet through our training programmes; where we obtain the data from; what we do with that data; how we comply with the data protection rules, who we transfer data to and how we deal with individuals’ rights in relation to their personal data. Any personal data is collected and processed in accordance with Irish and EU data protection laws.
The Construction Professionals Skillnet is required to comply with this Privacy Statement when processing personal data on behalf of Skillnet Ireland. Any failure on the part of Construction Professionals Skillnet to comply with the data protection rules (including as they are outlined in this Privacy Statement) may result in disciplinary action or sanction.
Please note that we may disclose individuals’ information to trusted third parties for the purposes set out and explained in this document. Contact and Book Now Forms
When visitors use the Book Now and Contact Forms on the site on the site we collect the data shown in the forms, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
If you use the forms, the data in the forms and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have used the forms, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
